Players experiencing performance or launch difficulties in the Emberville Next Fest demo can apply official workarounds and patches.

Black Screen Loading Resolution

Early demo builds encountered launch problems on some windows configurations. In patch 0.20.17.x, the developers fixed an issue that was making the game load as black screen in some windows configurations.

Language Reset and Configuration Workaround

In update 0.20.18.x, the development team noted two persistent issues under investigation:

  • Long loading time in some setups.
  • Not being able to change the language in some systems/setups.

To resolve configuration lockups, players can apply an official manual file reset:

  1. Navigate to the local save folder: AppData\LocalLow\CygnusCross\Emberville\Saves\.
  2. Delete the configuration file options.eopt to return the game to default configurations.
  3. The developers note that deleting only this file does not erase save data, but advise players not to delete anything else in this folder.
